This cultural day trip to the Yasawa Islands offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich traditions and vibrant culture of Fiji. Engage with local communities, explore historical sites, and experience the natural beauty of the islands. This unforgettable journey promises to be both educational and enjoyable.
Timings and Activities: Once you arrive you will welcomed by the local villagers with a traditional Fijian greeting which includes a traditional Kava drink, before activities begin. Explore the cultural centre to learn about the rich history and traditions of the Yasawa Islands and the historically significant cave the centre is located next to. Enjoy a meke (musical and dance) performance, participate in a Fijian craft workshop, learn about local medicinal plants, enjoy a Fijian cooking demonstration, see the stunning underwater coral gardens with a local guide snorkelling the healthy reef system in this Marine Reserve area. The day concludes with a traditional farewell.
Food and Drinks A delicious lunch is included in your day trip and drinks can be purchased at the resort. If you require a vegetarian option, please specify in the ‘special requirements box when you go through the booking process

Passengers travel from/to Port Denarau with the following schedule:

- Return pre-booked coach transfers to/from Port Denarau to/from most Nadi, Denarau, Vuda, and Wailoaloa hotels/resorts. Check the coach timetable here for times
- A 1 hour 45 minute (each way) scenic cruise through the islands from/to Port Denarau via high-speed catamaran
- Buffet lunch at Barefoot Kuata Island Resort (drinks can be purchased)

*Children are aged 5 – 15 years inclusive and pay the full adult price. Infants 4 and under and under are free of charge however their meals are additional and can be purchased directly from the resort. All pricing is in FJD, includes taxes, and is valid for travel until 31 March 2026. Bookings paid by credit card or international debit card will incur a 2.5-3% non-refundable administration fee.
