Barefoot Kuata Island Resort is known for its friendly hospitality, superb location, and warm waters. Boarding from Port Denarau, you will cruise for 1 hour and 45 minutes past the stunning Mamanuca Islands en route to the southern end of the Yasawa Islands where the delights of your island paradise await you.
Timings and Activities: Once you arrive, you will be welcomed to the island and introduced by a Marine Biologist to the surrounding environment surrounding the resort. This includes a presentation providing an overview of how the Marine Sanctuary is managed, how it became a Marine Protected Area (MPA), project results to date, and an introduction to current and future initiatives.
There will be two key activities:
1) A guided snorkel with the Marine Biologist to the resorts’ coral gardens to see current conservation projects and participate in coral regeneration
2) Join the Marine Biologist on a low tide exploration of the intertidal zone, home to some of the oceans’ weirdest creatures!
Food and Drinks A delicious lunch is included in your day trip and drinks can be purchased at the resort. If you require a vegetarian option, please specify in the ‘special requirements box when you go through the booking process

- Return pre-booked coach transfers to/from Port Denarau to/from most Nadi, Denarau, Vuda, and Wailoaloa hotels/resorts. Check the coach timetable here for times
- A 1 hour 45 minute (each way) scenic cruise through the islands from/to Port Denarau via high-speed catamaran
- Buffet lunch at Barefoot Kuata Island Resort (drinks can be purchased)
- Marine conservation talk by a Marine Biologist
- Guided snorkel by a Marine Biologist
- Low tide exploration of the intertidal zone with a Marine Biologist

*Children are aged 5 – 15 years inclusive and pay the full adult price. Infants 4 and under and under are free of charge however their meals are additional and can be purchased directly from the resort. All pricing is in FJD, includes taxes, and is valid for travel until 31 March 2026. Bookings paid by credit card or international debit card will incur a 2.5-3% non-refundable administration fee.
